Drip Tubing & Fittings
Drip irrigation tubing and drip irrigation fittings are the basics of any drip
irrigation system. The most common size of main line drip tubing is also called 1/2"
mainline drip tubing.
Now, there are many sizes of 1/2" drip tubing and almost none of them actually measure 1/2".
The most common size in drip irrigation is .700, measuring .700 O.D. (Outer Diameter) x .600" I.D. (Inner Diameter).
.580 is about as close as you can get to 1/2", it uses the black and yellow compression fittings made popular by Aquapore and Fiskars in the 90's up until 2006.
Mr. Soaker Hose started mfg. those items with many more innovative irrigation products in 2007.
Most all other drip irrigation mainline fittings usually have the size stamped on the tubing or on the end of the fittings. If your in doubt of the size, send us a sample so we can help determine which size it is.
