provides superior strength and safety, meeting all the
ASTM standards and requirements for metals and paints. We
have designed our cage to be
attractive, and safe, (with no sharp edges), AND it comes
standard with our newly designed
Security Shield™ which is designed to protect padlocks
from thieves using bolt cutters on an
assortment of valuable backflow devices of many types and
sizes, from backflow prevention
assemblies to air vacuum relief valves.

IT'S NO SURPRISE that Backflow Protection's™ two most popular
sizes are the UTC-1 and UTC-2 powdercoated models. Over
six
dozen different backflow assemblies fit inside these rugged
yet
attractive units, since these models allow full use of
interior space.
These models are also very popular for light powered timers,
air/vacuum relief valves, gas valves and more.
The UTC-.5 unit is perfect for 1/2"-3/4" PVB's and all three
units are
often used to cover dangerous, hard-to-see pedestrian trip
hazards.
All tamper proof hardware is supplied with the unit.

The UTC-3 and UTC-4 are very
popular members of Backflow
Protection's™ small powdercoated enclosure lineup. All 1˝"-2"
backflow assemblies fit inside these two rugged yet attractive
hinged models. These models are also very popular for enclosing
solar & light powered timers, air/vacuum relief valves, gas
valves
and more. The UTC-4 unit is perfect for enclosing two backflow
assemblies in the same unit which has the effect of reducing the
relative cost of protecting each device by 50%. All hardware is
supplied with these units.

for assistance with your custom needs.
- Use UTC-3 units for Extra Tall PVBs, Angle Pattern RPs,
weatherproof timers and air Vacuum relief valves.
- For all other 1 1/2"- 2" assemblies are UTC-1 and UTC-2 sizing
chart.
- Use the UTC-4 units when installing 2 assemblies side by side
or when a strainer, filter, or other items are used on a 1 1/2"
- 2"
inline assembly.

FABRICATION SPECIFICATIONS
1 1/2" Sch 65 A.S.T.M.-A-53
Gr.A.E.W. steel pipe for end
frames.
1" x 1" x 3/16" steel angle iron base.
˝" #13 ga. diamond pattern flat rolled expanded steel mesh
with all welded construction 4" O/C.
All metal construction is sandblasted prior to fabrication to
remove burs and sharp edges. All welded areas shall be a
minimum of 1/4" bead every 4".

industry five part metal cleaning
process and iron phosphate solution treatment.
Units preheated before applying 1.5-2.0 mil thickness
