You would use a flow disc when you are receiving more water at the beginning of your soaker hose run. Mr. Soaker Hose .820 OD Porous Professional Soaker Hose

Made from 100% recycled materials, 50% from recycled rubber and 50% recycled polyethylene products that are re-pelletized for use in the process, here in the USA. Professional soaker hose seeps water the entire distance of the pipe. Bulk Soaker hose means there are NO fittings on the hose. In turn, you can cut to desired length to create your own custom system. Simply use standard .820 od poly tubing and fittings. Never use barb fittings as they tend to diminish the flow rate. This professional quality (heavy wall) soaker hose (primarily made for commercial growers). Typically irrigates 16” wide strip depending on soil type.
The extra thick walls means slower soaking for a more consistent
watering. The extra thick wall makes it more durable and therefore less
susceptible to breakdown. We recommend using at least a 150 mesh filter and or a soaker hose filter to help prevent clogging of the soaker hose. R61B Metal Stakes secure the tubing to the ground.
