products that are re-pelletized for use in the process, here in the USA.
Professional soaker hose seeps water the entire distance of the pipe. Bulk
Soaker hose means there are NO fittings on the hose. In turn, you can cut to
desired length to create your own custom system.
Simply use standard
.820 od poly
tubing and fittings.
Never use barb fittings as
they tend to diminish the flow rate.
This professional quality (heavy
wall) soaker hose (primarily made for commercial growers). Typically
irrigates 16” wide strip depending on soil type.
The extra thick walls means slower soaking for a more consistent
watering. The extra thick wall makes it more durable and therefore less
susceptible to breakdown.
This is a low pressure system.
Pressure Regulator is a MUST since soaker hose is designed to work at low
pressure (we recommend the fiskars brand regulator).
The maximum run length is 250'. This product is not recommended for
hilly terrain.
We
recommend using at least a 150
mesh filter and or a
soaker hose filter
to help prevent clogging of the soaker hose.
