"Red Stripe" .700 OD Porous Bulk Soaker Hose

Bulk soaker hose offers the perfect delivery of water to plants. Made from recycled materials, 70% from recycled rubber and  30% recycled polyethylene products that are re-pelletized for use in the process. Bulk Soaker hose means there are NO fittings on the hose. In turn, you can cut to desired lengths to create your own custom system. Can be run in lengths up to 100', but not to exceed 500' off one water supply. Pressure Regulator is a MUST since soaker hose is designed to work at low pressure.

  

Uses .700 od poly tubing and fittings. Use this size if your rows need to be between 100' - 150'

GPH is approx. 142 gallons per hour, per 100' at 25 psi, depending on inlet pressure and water hardness. Shorter lengths will have an increase in gph. Hose should be used on flat surfaces not exceeding a 2' rise over 100'.

 Up to 500' of soaker hose can be operated from a single house faucet. Remember, the 500' must be divided into sections, none of which can be greater than 150' in length.

Installing the system in your garden is simple enough for just about anyone, simply place the hose on the ground around the base of your plants, or better still, bury them under garden mulch. If the hose crosses an area of the garden which doesn’t require watering, you simply connect a section of poly tubing. Plants can also be fertilized with a fertilizer injector .

Tip: A valve box allows for easy access to parts you might bury for your system, such as wye filter, auto drain, inline valves, etc.

Flow Discs regulate the flow (not the pressure) of water into the soaker hose. This helps ensure a more equal water distribution from end to end. You would use a flow disc when you are receiving more water at the beginning of your soaker hose run. Available in different sizes for different lengths of runs. Made out of rubber, use a flow disc in the female fitting #109, it replaces the rubber washer. Putting a flow disc in at the top of the first picture, where you would attach to a faucet, with the female fitting, isn't going to do much good. You need to have a design similar to the second picture, where you can use the flow disc in each row. Both pictures are thumbnails, so click on them to make them larger.
