Step 1. Start with a 14" to 20" tapered pot and place it on a tray or saucer.
Step 2. Insert the two stabilizer bars into the large pot. The smaller bar will be toward the bottom and the larger one toward the top of the pot. Insert these in a criss cross fashion.
Step 3. Insert the rod through the holes on the stabilizer bars and let it come to rest on the tray or saucer.
Step 4. Thread the smaller pots onto the metal bar and tilt them in opposite directions in a "flip-flop" manner. Be sure the top rim of each pot comes into contact with the metal pole.
Step 5. When planting your flip-flop be sure to leave the dirt an inch or two below the top of the pots.
Step 6. Water each pot from the outside and then run some water (slowly) into the metal pole to allow the water access to the roots of your plants.
